Hi, i am propably your First Member.......Lol
I downloaded the AMV Converter tool but i dont know what the prob is. When i try to play it on my MP4 Player, Some video play the Video lets say.....up to 00:04 and then FREEZE the MP4 Player. After that i have to turn it Off and then ON again.
I dont think it's a firmware problem coz the MP4 player had a Demo Video on that played Just fine. I am guessing the problem is with the Program.
Do you have any fixes dor this? ANY HELP AT ALL?

Try using one of the files I put with the download. Try using some that are chip type=0 (normal) or chip type=1. Also make sure that if you are encoding the video for a 1.5" player that you encode it at 128x96 or whatever the pixels are for your player.

I tried all Methods, i even tried all the Clockwise and Counter Clockwise methods......But nothing.
Until this point only one video plays all the way to the end, the rest just make the PLayer Freeze. My PLayer is a 1.5 .

What settings allow you to play your video all the way through? This might help others out with trying to convert videos. What chip type, resolution, and BMPadjust settings are in your amvtransform.ini file?

Ok it's all Fixed....HEre's what i did. At the First try after Using the Normal Chip it didnt Work. Second try Re-Pasting Normal Chip in the FOlder i noticed something......... The Converted files that would play all the Way to the End had the Source Conversion File to be 640x480. So before i used AMV transform, i Converted all Files to 640x 480 with Windows Movie Maker, and then Converted them to AMV Type with AMV transform.
I used Settings 128x 96 high high high mode 3 And i sometimes used Try OTHER CODEC

Thanks for the info. My player plays all resolutions so I can't try and test different videos because it will play them no matter what.

After some more Testion With Normal Chip, it was obvious that there was no need to Make all files to 640 480. I coul just Drag and drop any files in AMV CONVERt and it wil work fine. I guess the Problem was with The Normal Chip File............It's all fixed now though.

With AMV tools 4.00 you can rotate the clip 90 degrees both ways, (Editing the amvtransform.ini file or downloading it from my site with the files already edited) As far as the .VOB to .AMV, I would suggest downloading the Codec pack from my site as well and installing the Hyper package. I have no problems converting .VOB files straight to .AMV

I have your tool to convert movies to AMV. Conversions are okay. But during play on my PC, the left side and the right side of the frame are cut. It does not show the whole frame. Do I have to adjust some parameters on my AMV converter tool?

Hi
I am new to this forum but I hope you can help me. I have downloaded and installed AMV converter 4.00. I have converted video files and played them on my MP4 player. The image plays great but the sound quality is poor, there is an echo.
A friend of mine has suggested that the audio bps needs changing when converting the file to AMV format, but I don't seem to have the ability to do that with AMV converter 4.00.
Can you help at all?
Many thanks.

Hello and THANK YOU 4 THIS SITE. I have downloaded & installed AMV converter 4.00. im trying to put a AMV video on this little MP4 player . I'm using a sony cam, MPEG video/audio clip converted to AMV. The clip plays fine on my pc in the AMV player, but on the little player it plays for a couple seconds and then stops.on screen says WRONG FORMAT. The player came with a pre loaded AMV music video and it plays fine. I think i need to change the Screen width/height settings on the converter to 128x96., right now i only have a choice of 2 settings =128x128 & 160x120.Can you please tell me how i do this ? The little player has a 1.8" screen, Thank you, Andy..

As far as the virus is concerned, I have no idea. It is probrably a virus that installs itself when you download files or maybe just attacks .rar files. Turn your norton settings to scan archives and to vscan compressed files. There isn't much you can do with the sound......just yet anyways. You can increase the volume of the clip prior to converting it with the AMV converter. I use Virtual Dub which is a free program that works great, but it isn't a easy program to use. If you are getting format errors you might have a codec problem or you need to open up the amvtransform.ini file with notepad and there is a setting in there called CHIP TYPE. If it is on a 0 then change it to 1. If it is a 1 then change it to 0. As far as the cutting off of the edges, there is a image focus setting that focuses itself on the video. You can change that to 0 and it will not focus but the players are more of a 3:4 ration than a 4:3. So to utilize the most out of your player flip the video 90 degrees. It works with most players.
